As much faith as we carry, sometimes we Christian artists, whether a songwriter/composer, author, visual artist, or choreographer hit a point in our projects where we feel blocked. We may even wonder where God is, on whom we are depending. He seems silent. Our faith wobbles. Ideas stop. “God, I thought you said to do this. You gave me a good start but you aren’t helping anymore.”
Like Abraham, we stare at impossibility, knowing how inadequate we are.
But maybe God isn’t resisting at all. Maybe we stopped expecting and just “hoped” He would help. Maybe, just maybe, we aren’t FULLY convinced that what God began He will complete. Maybe Doubt locked the door on that flow.
Can a person have faith and doubt at the same time?
Yes. That is why we must be FULLY convinced. That faith unlocks the door.
Being fully convinced is a process.
Take up your supernatural sword in the name of Jesus. Swing and swing and swing until you destroy Doubt with the following truths:
“The Lord WILL accomplish what concerns me; Your lovingkindness, O Lord, IS everlasting; Do not forsake the works of YOUR hands.” Psalm 138:8
“Without becoming weak in faith he (Abraham) CONTEMPLATED his own body, now as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb;
YET, with respect to the promise of God, he DID NOT WAVER in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God,
and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform.” Romans 19-21
